Bio
A practicing attorney since 1978, John concentrates on the representation of condominium, homeowner, and townhome associations, as well as civil litigation and personal injury. John’s life and legal experience are remarkable. He has served for a number of years as a lecturer/instructor in Condo & HOA Law at Harper Community College and Joliet Junior College (see Calendar for a list of currently offered courses). He served as Assistant Attorney General of the State of Illinois. He attained the rank of Major in the United States Marine Corps. He served as Chief Defense Counsel and Chief Trial Counsel, United States Marine Corps. He is currently Chairman of the Hawthorn Woods Environmental Committee. He takes pride in keeping his clients out of court, and – when court is unavoidable – in preventing them from being successfully sued. John believes that to be an effective attorney, one must empathize with the client, and that requires understanding the totality of the client’s circumstances, not just their legal predicament.
